Welcome the Hovdas! New Family of the Week!

Hey! I'm so glad you stopped by today! I'm happy to introduce you to Jon and Angela Hovda, our family of the week! Jon and Angela are adopting 2 handsome boys from China.  They should travel very soon to bring them home.  

A little more info about their boys....

Jensen, the oldest, has Cerebral Palsy.  He has been worried that he will become too old for adoption and be without a family.  Pray for his heart as he's waiting and being told soon that he does, in fact, have a family coming.  Jack, the younger of these 2, was born with Xeroderma Pigmentosum, a rare genetic condition. Some of the risks include cancer and a premature death.  These boys NEED to come HOME where their family can provide for their needs.  Their adoptions are being expedited due to Jensen's age and Jack's health needs being so severe. 

Jack and Jensen will be welcomed by their family, including 2 big brothers and a little sister! They're all excited about their new brothers coming home.

Watch their video and get your Paypals ready! You will be giving through Reece's Rainbow (via Paypal).  Remember, Reece's Rainbow is an advocacy site that allows families to raise funds for their adoption. And your gift is tax deductible.   Very quick, very simple, very awesome. 

Remember, adoption is expensive and while Jon and Angela can provide for their 2 newest sons after they come home, funding the trip to China--the airfare, hotels, etc-- is very expensive.  That's where you come in!

Time To Sign Up With Pure Charity/Dismukes' Week!

New Week--Meet The Dismukes!

I love having a new family to feature on Mother's Day! How was yours, by the way? I hope it was fun and filled with gifts or nice and quiet, with plenty of relaxation.....whatever you like best!  I know for some, it can be difficult, so to all of you mamas, soon to be moms, moms that have lost their sweet babies, birthmothers who love their children from afar, those whose mothers are already with Jesus and those of you who struggle with motherhood, happy Mother's Day. And to all of the women who have loved our children along the way, this day's for you, too.

Let me introduce you to the Dismuke family. Heather and Michael had originally planned on adopting a sweet little girl from Russia.  But, as you know, that is not possible right now.  So, the Dismukes have allowed themselves to fall in love again with a beautiful little girl from China.  They are matched with Johanna and are being matched with a second child, as well.  Right now, the Dismuke family has a matching grant with Lifesong.  Can you help them meet their grant? Your dollar turns to $2.....$5 turns to $10.  The Dismukes have been on their adoption journey for a while and it's taken some twists and turns.  Let's show them lots of love and support this week!

Welcome the Bernard family to our blog! They are Paul and Shecki and they are adopting 2 beautiful children from China, Luke and Katie.   These 2 newest members will be children numbers 9 and 10! I LOVE big families! Don't you??  The Bernards should travel this summer.

Meet the Sharp Family!

Hey there! It's a rainy day at my house.  What about yours? How's your day going? Are you ready to meet this week's family??
The Sharp family is in the last stages of their adoption of 2 beautiful children from China.  Rowyn, age 3 and Zekiel, age 1!    Tracey, the Mom,  and her friend will travel THIS THURSDAY to meet their 2 newest family members! George, the Dad, will be home with the rest of the family. They don't have a video, but I do have a few pictures to show you.  That's ok, right?  And, you really must take a look at their blog.  The Sharps have adopted before and have a huge heart for adoption and children with special needs.  Rowyn and Zekiel both have dwarfism, as does another son the Sharpes adopted from Ukraine.

New Week-Meet the Cheathams!

 Hello there, friends.  I hope 2013 is off to a great start for you! It's rainy and cold here...fingers crossed for snow!  We don't see it very often in the south--my boys want a snow day!

Quick explanation for our newbies.....our family of the week is adopting and we're here to support them because it's EXPENSIVE. So, check back here weekly and see who you can bless.  It's super fun and easy! Your donation goes straight to their PayPal account.   And believe me, it's very appreciated.  

Now it's time to meet the Cheathams.  Jess and Blake, married for 15 years,  are adopting 2 babies from China! New Year, New Family--The Rylands!

Now it's time to welcome the RYLANDS family!  Our first family of 2013-yayyy!   They are no strangers to adoption.  The Rylands are adopting their 4th and 5th sons from China.  That's right,  2 more boys-ages 9 and 13!  They will be welcomed by 3 brothers  (one biological son and 2 sons from China) and their parents, Tom and Angie.  This is definitely a boy house!  Read more about their journey here.  AND, even better is that their money raised -up to $1000.00- through Give1Save1 ASIA this week will be matched by another ministry--Journey Together Ministry.  A double blessing for this family!

New Week--The Penland Family!!

Guess who's already in China?!  The PENLAND family!!  Chip and Traci.  They are our family of the week and left a few days ago, traveling to China to pick up their 2 children, a daughter and a son.  Take a few minutes to watch their VIDEO...you haven't seen one like this!
